  • 3 cups Rice Flour
  • 1cup Besan (Senaga Pindi)
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chille powder according to taste
  • 2 tsps Vaamu
  • Oil for frying
  • Mix Rice Flour, besan, salt, red chilie powder and vaamu using little water at a time
  • While mixing the dough add little hot oil and mix it well to form soft dough
  • Heat the oil in a deep pan for frying these mini chapattis, once the oil is hot enough fry the chakalu till golden brown
  • Using the press we can make various shapes of chakralu with the this dough
  • Chakralu are ready to eat any time of the day
  • Replace the Besan with Urad dal flour (Minapa pindi) to get a different version
