Ingredients:
- 3 cups shredded coconut
- 2 cups sugar
- ½ cup water
- 3 tbsps butter
- 2 tsps Cardamom powder
Procedure:
- Add the sugar and water and butter to a large pan
- Keep stirring the sugar syrup till it forms a soft ball consistency, this may take 20-25 minutes
- Once the sugar syrup reaches the soft ball consistency add the shredded coconut and cardamom powder
- Keep stirring it continuously and let it cook for 10-15 minutes
- Apply little butter to you hands and make small balls to make coconut laddu or
- Pour this mixture onto a lightly greased plate and cut it into your desired shapes
- let it cool down completely for 2-3 hrs
- Coconut burfi is ready to eat!!!
Tip:
- Make sure the sugar syrup comes to a soft ball consistency, else the burfi will be soft and will not harden
- Add any food color of your choice to make the burfi look colorful
