Coriander Chutney

Ingredients:
  • Coriander - 1 bunch
  • Tamarind- small lemon ball size
  • Jaggery- to taste
  • Green Chillies- according to taste
  • Mustard seeds - 2tsp
  • Chana Dal- 2tsp
  • Urad Dal- 2tsp
  • Hing- to taste
  • oil
  • salt
Procedure:
  • Wash the Coriander leaves and air dry them
  • Saute these leaves in a hot wok, just to remove the raw smell
  • In a blender add the coriander leaves,green chillies, salt, tamarind pulp, turmeric, jaggery and blend it to a smooth paste adding little water if necessary
  • Add little oil in a pan and add them mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, hing and fry them till the dal turns golden brown and mustard seeds start to splutter
  • Add this tampering to the coriander paste
  • Coriander Chutney is ready to be served with Dosa, Idly or Upma
